Here are the last 5 scandals revealed by the regime in place

Accountability has not faded, far from it. The Director of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), Fadilou Keita, recently made shocking revelations about the mismanagement of the institution. During his time at RFM, he denounced several irregularities:

  1. Alarming financial situation : When he arrived, only 300 million FCFA were available, while the CDC normally manages billions.

  2. Illicit discounts : Keita denounced illegal payments to tax inspectors and magistrates of the Court of Auditors, describing these practices as “banditry”. An investigation by the State General Inspectorate (IGE) is underway to shed light on these facts.

  3. Real estate project in Bambilor : The CDC is said to have lost 10 billion FCFA in a real estate project involving 149 hectares and 4,000 plots. This project, blocked for nine years, has finally been unblocked.

  4. Land scandal at Léopold Sédar Senghor airport : Keita claims that the State lost between 30 and 40 billion FCFA due to fraudulent land sales. Illegal contractual modifications would have encouraged land speculation to the detriment of public coffers.

  5. Rapport 2013-2014 : Fadilou Keita accuses personalities like Ahmed Khalifa Niass and Samuel Sarr of owing 3.5 billion FCFA to the State, denouncing their involvement in embezzlement of funds and public property.

These revelations risk breaking out several financial scandals linked to the management of the CDC under previous regimes, with investigations underway to restore transparency.
