In 2020, Kairos, a subsidiary of the D&S group, in partnership with GRETA Gard-Lozère, launched specialized training in nuclear dismantling and cleanup in Bagnols-sur-Cèze.
Faced with growing success, this training aimed for recognition by the France Certification organization, a step which required the validation of two sessions.
The first session, organized in 2020, welcomed nine participants, followed by a second in 2022 with seven registered.
This Thursday, September 19, a symbolic graduation ceremony was held at the premises of the D&S group to celebrate the official obtaining of this long-awaited certification. The 16 trainees thus retroactively obtained their certified diploma.
Trainees benefited from modern teaching tools and a new dedicated building, where the classroom and practice space are immediately adjacent, thus facilitating optimal learning.
All participants in the second session not only obtained their diploma, but also obtained a permanent contract at the end of their training. Aged 21 to 34 and from diverse backgrounds, these young professionals have discovered a crucial sector, with stable job prospects in a growing industry.
The next training session in nuclear dismantling and remediation will take place from January to December 2025, alternately. Open to young people and adults undergoing retraining, it is accessible through apprenticeship or professionalization contract, in partnership with the Region and France Travail.More information:
