After thirty-two years of existence, T1 is getting a makeover. Partially interrupted until the end of March, the line no longer serves the nine stations which separate Bobigny and Noisy-le-Sec (Seine-Saint-Denis). The new terminus is now at the Escadrille Normandie-Niemen stop.

To replace the tram, the RATP has set up replacement buses which run every 5 and 15 minutes. An unsuitable solution according to the usual users of T1: “It’s slower, which means you have to get up even earlier, you have to run”underlines a regular user.

For four years, T1 has been modernizing. During this new phase of work, two new stations will be created and four will be rebuilt to accommodate a new tram: the TW20.

Capable of accommodating 15% more users, these brand new trains will run from December, even before the end of the project. While some subscribers understand the importance of this work, they also expect “more comfort” et “more space” in six months.
