Profits growing strongly in the first half

As part of its objective to strengthen access to quality care across the Kingdom, AKDITAL continued its expansion strategy during the first half of 2024. Three new health establishments were inaugurated, bringing the total capacity of the Group to 2,698 beds. These new infrastructures include the Khouribga International Clinic, the Ibn Nafis International Hospital in Marrakech, and the Mogador International Clinic in Essaouira, which together add 383 beds to the existing capacity.

With the aim of aligning its practices with the highest quality standards, AKDITAL also made significant progress during H1 2024 in its Qmentum International accreditation cycle with the Accreditation Canada organization.

Progress in activity indicators

The Group’s turnover for the first half of 2024 amounts to MAD 1,249 million, recording strong growth of 51% compared to MAD 828 million for H1 2023. This good performance reflects both the consolidation of historic entities , and the success of the establishments opened in 2022 and 2023. In terms of contribution to the Group’s overall turnover, the oncology activity saw its share increase from 29% in H1 2023 to 32% in H1 2024. Strengthening of profitability and cost control

EBITDA for the first half of 2024 stood at MAD 334 million, up 56%. This performance is the result of the Group’s operational efficiency efforts, through rigorous expense management. As of June 30, 2024, the consolidated net profit amounted to MAD 127 million, recording an increase of 70% compared to MAD 75 million in H1 2023.

This progress is driven by the improvement in the Group’s operational performance. The group’s share of net income (RNPG) stands at MAD 113 million.

Perspectives

Akdital is continuing its ambitious expansion program for 2024, with 12 new establishment openings planned, 3 of which are already operational. These developments will allow the Group to reach a total capacity of more than 3,700 beds spread across 33 establishments in 24 cities, an increase of 61% compared to 2023. Building on the success of its capital increase in July 2024, AKDITAL intends accelerate its expansion beyond this year, by targeting regions with high demand for health infrastructure, in order to continue to support the generalization of Compulsory Health Insurance (AMO).
