Dakar, September 29 (APS) – Senegalese internationals Boulaye Dia, Lamine Camara and Kalidou Koulibaly distinguished themselves by scoring a goal each this weekend with their host clubs, while Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye obtained with Everton their first Premier League win of the season.
Saturday, during the sixth day of French Ligue 1, Senegalese international from Monaco (France) Lamine Camara scored his second goal of the season. The midfielder entered in the 64th minute of the match against Montpellier (2-1), offering victory in the 98th minute to Monaco which was celebrating its centenary.
The midfielder scored his second goal of the season after the one scored against Lyon on the second day (2-0).
Brest of Abdallah Sima and Abdoulaye Niakhaté Ndiaye lost heavily (0-3) against Auxerre, during the sixth day. Holders, Sima left in the 61st minute while Niakhaté Ndiaye played the entire match.
Lyon beat Toulouse, 2-1. Moussa Niakhaté was on the bench. Le Havre, Arouna Sangante’s team, lost by the same score. The Senegalese defender played the entire match. Mikayil Faye played his first 25 minutes with Rennes in the 1-3 defeat against PSG.
In French Ligue 2, Grenoble’s Pape Meissa BA scored his eighth goal of the season against Clermont. Metz of the Senegalese Cheikh Sabaly, Pape Amadou Diallo, Abou Lo, Sadibou Sané, Ibou Sané and Pape Sy (goalkeeper) lost, 1-2, against Troyes of Mouhamed Diop.
In Italy, Boulaye Dia scored his third goal of the season with Lazio, his fifth in all competitions. His team beat Torino, 3-2. The Lions striker scored a double last Wednesday in the Europa League.
In Saudi Arabia, Kalidou Koulibaly of Al-Hilal opened his goal counter. Koulibaly gave his team momentum by opening the scoring in the 38th minute. The captain of the Senegal Lions scored his first goal of the season. His leading team in the Saudi Pro League won, 4-2, for the fifth time in as many matches.
His compatriot from Al-Nassr, Sadio was the decisive passer on his team’s first goal. Al-Nassr won 2-0 against Al-Wehda. Édouard Mendy’s Al-Ahly and Habib Diallo’s Damac lost respectively by the same score (0-1) against Al-Qadisiya and Al-Orubah.
In England, Nicolas Jackson remains in good form. The Senegalese did not score during his team’s big victory (4-2), the occasion of the sixth day of the Premier League, but was the author of an assist on the first goal of the match signed Cole Palmer . The 22-year-old Englishman made English championship history by scoring a quadruple.
Iliman Ndiaye, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Everton got their first win of the season against Ismaila Sarr’s Crystal Palace. The Toffees won, 2-1. Mamadou Fall reduced the score for his team in the 44th minute.
