a man kidnapped, beaten and bitten by a dog in a basement

A 21-year-old man was taken into police custody this Tuesday, suspected of having participated in the kidnapping and assault of a man in Dammarie-les-Lys (Seine-et-), we learned Le Figaro with the public prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Parisian . An investigation for “kidnapping, sequestration and acts of torture and barbarism” was entrusted to the interdepartmental service of the judicial police, specifies the prosecution.

The 22-year-old victim was transported to hospital without a life-threatening condition, indicates Jean-Michel Bourlès, Melun prosecutor.

Tied up with handcuffs

While returning to his car on September 24, the young man was kidnapped by several individuals accompanied by a dog. The scene took place around 6:30 p.m., in the Plaine-du-Lys district. No witnesses witnessed this kidnapping.

The victim is taken by force to an underground garage located in the same neighborhood. Tied with handcuffs, the young man is hit and then bitten by the canine several times all over his body. After being beaten, he had his registration card, his car keys and money stolen by his attackers, he told investigators.

“Uncooperative”

The same evening, while the victim was released and hospitalized, the police arrested a motorist during a road check “following numerous traffic violations”relates a police source. After searching the vehicle, investigators found a pair of gloves, a bag containing a large sum of money, an empty handcuff case and a car key. The agents then discovered that the key belonged to the victim attacked in the basement a few hours earlier.

The driver was immediately arrested and then placed in police custody. For the moment, it is difficult to confirm that the suspect participated in the kidnapping of the young man. The victim, who lives in Melun, has not yet been interviewed but according to a police source, the victim nevertheless appears “uncooperative”.
