Weather forecast: heavy rain and strong wind in one region of the country

This Friday, sometimes heavy rain is expected, especially on the coast. A storm could break out. Then, the weekend will be mixed. On Saturday, the sky will be changeable with showers from the North Sea. On the other hand, on Sunday, the sun will be there.

This Friday morning, cloudiness will be variable to abundant. Moderate rain is expected on the Coast and a few showers in the Ardennes, while the weather should remain dry in the center. In the afternoon, rain and showers will arrive from the west and significant accumulations of precipitation can be expected in places, particularly on the coast, according to the morning forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM). A clap of thunder will not be excluded.

The IRM has also issued a yellow alert from this Friday morning until Saturday morning for heavy rains on the coast and in certain regions of West Flanders. “The accumulations could reach 20 to 45 mm in 24 hours. There is also a risk of storms”warns the Royal Meteorological Institute.

The maxima will be between 11 and 16 degrees. The wind will be moderate to fairly strong from the southwest with gusts of up to 70 km/h, and up to 90 km/h at sea. A yellow warning is issued for the coast all day.

In the evening and night, the weather will remain variable with periods of rain and showers. The minimums will be between 5 and 10°C.

Tomorrow, the sky will be changeable with showers from the North Sea, mainly affecting the north-eastern half of the country. Regions near the French border could remain dry. During the afternoon, an improvement will appear from the southwest. The maxima will vary from 9 to 14 degrees.

Sunday, the day will start under the sun with local fog in the Ardennes. Dawn will be very cool. In the afternoon, the cloudiness will become variable in the Ardennes while elsewhere, high and medium clouds will gradually arrive from the west. The weather will remain dry. The maxima will vary between 11 and 15 degrees.

Monday, further rain and showers will affect our country from west to east. The maximums will vary between 12 and 18 degrees. The wind will veer to the southwest while strengthening to become quite strong or even locally strong.

Tuesday, Rain and showers will remain on the program. The wind could however be a little less marked, but it will be a little cooler with maximums of 9 to 15 degrees.
