Follow the Awakening of Neufchâtel
Two cradles, a truck crane, around fifteen people operating them, the work carried out by Enedis and Bouygues on the high-voltage power lines in the sector of Bradiancourta few kilometers from Neufchâtel-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime) were very important.
Extending the life of electrical works
This work was carried out over two weeks from September 9 to 20.
The aim of this major intervention was to renovate a 14 km network including 110 supports. “Our technicians replace all the mechanical parts and redo the connectors. It’s preventative and we should be good for about 25 years, unless there’s a problem related to a storm or something else” summarizes Olivier Utinengineering and quality project manager for Enedis in Seine-Maritime.
And he added: “We also use helicopters, drones and artificial intelligence before the work, but also once the work is finished in order to check the network.”
This intervention therefore aimed to extend the lifespan of electrical works and thus secure the quality of electricity supply. 1,450 customers and 20 producers connected to the sector.
A 280,000 euro project
This type of construction site also requires a long preparation so that everything goes as well as possible. And this is the observation made by the mayor of Fontaine-en-Bray, Fouad Namour :
We only had a 5-minute break in the morning and evening. It’s really not much compared to the scale of the work.
In fact, 17 generators installed in the municipalities concerned took over during the interventions “the cost of which amounts to 280,000 euros.
Please also note that we also call on a pruning company, knowing that trees, branches and leaves are sources of micro-cuts or breakdowns” specifies Fabienne Lebourgcontact for local authorities for Enedis.
A diagnosis with drones and helicopters
This renovation carried out on this 20,000 volt network However, it is not limited to the intervention visible to all. “First, there is a diagnosis that we carry out with drones, helicopters and technicians on the ground to see the work to be carried out” recall Fabienne Lebourg and Olivier Utin.
And once the work is finished, we do another visit.
The next project will concern Old Rouen-sur-Bresle with similar work at the beginning of October.
