Discreet and austere, the storefront leaves nothing to be guessed about the interior atmosphere, characterized by the omnipresent woodwork and the large original mirrors which date from 1942. “A historic monument of eating and drinking”, the place housed the brewery since 1902. Bavaria where the officials of the League of Nations regularly sat down.

The place bears the name FP Journe, one of the rare independent watch brands with a factory in the heart of Geneva. A graduate of the Paris Watchmaking School, François-Paul Journe began his career in his uncle’s Parisian workshop restoring old watches, lulled by the prowess of these exceptional watches which fueled his fascination for the inventive genius of the 18th century. In its restaurant, you can also admire an astronomical clock dating from the beginning of the 17th century or, at the edge of the tables, inscriptions paying tribute to scholarly pioneers of watchmaking such as Jost Bürgi or Christiaan Huygens.
