This is a threat that will not please transport users in Paris. The CGT RATP has just filed a strike notice starting from Monday, September 30, 8 p.m. until Wednesday, October 2, 7 a.m.Before starting this movement, the union is demanding an emergency meeting with management.

A significant loss of earnings according to the CGT

To justify this threat, the CGT explains that the salaries of RATP workers have not been aligned with inflation in recent years. “From 2020 to 2023, inflation was 12.8%,” the union assures in a press release. To guarantee our standard of living, with regard to this inflation over these 4 years (…) we should all have had a 12.8% increase in point value and/or pay scales between December 2019 and January 2024”.

But according to the CGT, the agents have never seen these salary increases, arguing that there is a lack on average “224 euros” on salaries“A level/step at 1,900 euros gross monthly should have increased to 2,143.20 euros, i.e. a monthly increase of 243.20 euros,” the union takes as an example.

To obtain redress and not be “the adjustment variable in a budgetary arbitration of the State or the Region”the agents are therefore requesting an emergency meeting to see their salaries increase and thus lift the notice filed.
