In Finistère, five fiber optic bosses sentenced to heavy fines

Concretely, the defendants carried out intriguing money transfers between their companies, we are talking about millions of euros. They also shared their employees, originally from Tunisia. Men who were without a residence permit or not declared to Urssaf.

“Believe me, I am a victim”

During the hearing, with the exception of one boss, the defendants had not managed to justify the operation of their companies, having no accounts. “The accountant disappeared with all the accounts. Believe me, I am a victim,” said one of them. He was not believed by the court.

This Thursday, September 19, 2024, three of the defendants were sentenced to 18 and 36 months of suspended prison sentences and a permanent ban on managing a business. The other two were fined €5,000. That’s not all. The companies were fined €75,000 and two properties, with a total value of approximately €130,000, were seized.
