A period of major works begins in this commune of -Atlantique

Rainwater network

They will first concern Rue Cobert and Boulevard Belmont. In Rue Colbert, it involves renewing 870 metres of rainwater network pipes, rehabilitating 450 metres of wastewater networks and their connections and renewing 45 metres of drinking water pipe and its connections. The cost of the operation amounts to €935,000 including tax, financed exclusively by the urban area, for a period of 5 months.

Vegetation of sidewalks

The work to redevelop the street will follow, with greening of the sidewalks, such as rue du Maréchal-de-Lattre-de-Tassigny. This should last until mid-April. During this period, the street will be closed and a diversion will be made via rue du Requer and rue du Loc-Croisey to serve the Jules-Verne schools.

ROAD CLOSED

Concerning Belmont Boulevard, the Agglo services will carry out the renewal of 1,750 meters of wastewater pipes and their connections, 780 meters of drinking water pipes and their connections. The cost of the operation amounts to: €2,300,000 including tax financed exclusively by Cap Atlantique. The work will start on September 23, for 30 weeks and will continue with the extension of the cycle path to Lérat. The road will be closed.

Creation of green spaces, pedestrian zones, street furniture, etc.

Another area of ​​work is being set up with the development of the market square. “This is one of the emblematic places in the city where it is good to meet up” explains Gérard Brion, deputy for regional planning, living environment and urban planning. “Work will begin on September 16 and end in mid-May 2025.”

There will be the creation of green spaces, an area reserved for pedestrians, the installation of street furniture and the improvement of accessibility for people with reduced mobility. There will be numerous bicycle parking areas but fewer parking areas for cars. This work will be carried out in 4 phases, over 37 weeks to leave all shops and markets accessible throughout the period.

Worried traders
