This is “the” showcase for filmmakers from Morbihan. Launched in 2019 in Vannes by the association Les Éditions BenGrem, the evening which is celebrating its sixth anniversary this year, on Friday October 4, 2024, at Cinéville will allow seven associations to present their recent short film productions. The screenings will be followed by meetings with the film crews to better understand the creation of these locally shot fictions. “This annual event aims to present local film production, to encourage meetings between audiovisual teams in the region, and also to show that Morbihan is a true land of cinema and filming… and Brittany too”, explain the organizers.
On the bill for this edition: “Le mal en pire” (Éditions BenGrem, Vannes); “La fille aux pieds nus” (White Light Production, Lorient); Jean & Jeanne (Lez’Artisticks, Belle-Ile-en-Mer); “Passion meurtrière” (My self production, Hennebont); “The Awakening Path” (Coconut studio, Fouesnant); “La swell” (Plein format, Trébeurden); “En attendant le paradis” (West Side Pictures, Pluvigner); “L’expérience du sommeil” (BenGrem, Vannes). Missing from the programme is the very successful “Turban”, by the Vannes association Carpeta, selected in several major European festivals. In 2025 perhaps?
