Police officers from the BAC, the anti-crime brigade, discovered, this Sunday, June 25, a “breeding and a wild slaughterhouse” in the city of Bindweeds, to the east of Nice.
Forty sheep were piled up in a single room of an apartment located at 8 de l’Impasse. One of the beasts had had its throat cut.
The building that housed the wild slaughterhouse belongs to the social landlord Côte d’Azur Habitat (CAH). And the room was barely 12 or 13 m2.
The police operation was carried out in a tense climate in the neighborhood, according to a police source.
Anthony Borré, Christian Estrosi’s first deputy in charge of Security and Housing and president of CAH, for his part, announced on Twitter that the national police arrested two individuals.
“Animal abuse”, reacts Eric Ciotti
“Animal abuse is unbearable. The perpetrators must be heavily condemned and it starts with the removal of their social housing!”had already reacted the deputy LR Éric Ciotti.
According to the City, it is a breeder who will recover the animals. As of Monday, June 26, a complaint will be filed.
Eid el-Kébir, the “feast of sacrifice”, is scheduled this year for Wednesday, June 28, for three days.
