While a grandmother and her granddaughter were in front of the front door of their home in Bordeaux on Monday, June 19, a man threw himself on the two women before throwing them violently to the ground and to escape.
A violent attack. This Monday, June 19, around 5:30 p.m., in the heart of Bordeaux (Gironde), a 73-year-old grandmother and her 7-year-old granddaughter were victims of a violent attack and an attempt to abduction in front of their home. The suspect was finally arrested an hour later by the crews of the anti-crime brigade (BAC).
In the images posted on social networks, we can see a man, who patiently waits for the two women to enter their home, then approaches to block the front door with his foot, before literally throwing himself into the interior to seize the victims and throw them violently to the ground. We then distinguish the man who seems to seize the personal effects of the victims on the ground, before fleeing.
According to the press release from the public prosecutor of Bordeaux, on the spot, the lady declared to have been assaulted by a man who allegedly tried to kidnap the girl. The barking of the dog would have scared away the defendant. A neighbour, witness of the scene, would have provided a description of the author, also filmed thanks to the presence of a videophone.
The description of the author and his flight in a black Renault Clio vehicle would have enabled the BAC staff to arrest the suspect around 6:30 p.m., about an hour after the incident. Very agitated and resistant to his arrest, the latter was subdued and taken to the central police station. For the time being, the respondent denies the facts and indicates that he is under guardianship and psychological monitoring. He would also be out of treatment. A blood alcohol test was performed on the suspect and the results are negative.
4 days of ITT for the grandmother
As for the victims, the grandmother was injured in the head, elbow and foot, while the young girl suffered from dermabrasions. A first medical certificate assessed the grandmother’s ITT at four days. “She will be seen again today, as well as the child, so that a forensic doctor can carry out a complete expertise of the two victims and determine the psychological consequences of this act of particular violence, as evidenced by the video broadcast on the social media,” the statement said.
According to a source familiar with the case at CNEWS, the individual arrested is a Frenchman born in 1993, homeless and very unfavorably known to the police, with around fifteen convictions to his credit. He was placed in police custody for intentional violence against a vulnerable and minor person, and for attempted kidnapping and kidnapping. An investigation has been opened.
