On Saturday, January 25, an 83-year-old man, suffering from Alzheimer's disease, entrenched himself at his home in Ecraves, near Toul (Meurthe-et-Moselle), after a report for domestic violence. Armed with a rifle, the octogenarian opened fire on the police, triggering a large -scale police intervention.
