Thanks to its victory against Manchester City on Wednesday evening in the Champions League (4-2), Paris Saint-Germain climbed the UEFA rankings.
Paris Saint-Germain's great victory on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes against Manchester City is not without consequences in the UEFA rankings. Certainly, the three points taken by PSG allow it to get back into the race for the play-offs, and to very probably be qualified for the next round of the Champions League, but that's not all.
The Parisian success also allows the French club to regain 5th place in the UEFA club rankings over the last five seasons. With 98,000 points, Paris SG is behind the big names Manchester City, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
1. Manchester City 135,000 points
2. Real Madrid 133,500 points
3. Liverpool 123,250 points
4. Bayern Munich 122,500 points
5. Paris Saint-Germain 98,000 points
For its part, Ligue 1 continues its path in fifth place in the ranking, even if the week was mixed for the French clubs, and the Netherlands reduced their delay with a particularly happy week in the European Cups. For more information on the UEFA rankings, click here.
