Speculations were increasingly heard while the Prime Minister must kick off provincial elections by 2026.

He asked for a “strong mandate” to respond to the threats of American President Donald Trump. According to him, the threat of prices of 25% could cost 500,000 jobs in Ontario.

Ontario voters would therefore be called to the polls on February 27, said an anonymous source of Globe and Mail Thursday evening.

The political party of Doug Ford, the progressive-conservative party of Ontario, currently has 46% of the voting intentions, according to a probe made by the light firm and made public on January 20.

The Liberal Party of Ontario and Ontario NDP is respectively second and third with 22 and 19 of the percentage of votes.

47% of the Ontario population would have a good opinion from Mr. Ford while 48% would have an unfavorable opinion, still according to the Léger firm.
