Aïssata Tall Sall, appointed to defend MP Farba Ngom before the Ad Hoc commission, held a press briefing at the headquarters of the Alliance for the Republic (APR). She denounced the basis of the accusation brought against her parliamentary colleague.
According to her, “Farba Ngom’s accusation file is based solely on four transmission letters from the prosecution”.
Faced with what she describes as a lack of foundation, Aïssata Tall Sall made a radical decision: “I decided not to associate myself with this parody of an Ad Hoc commission,” she declared firmly.
The lawyer also clarified that she had not been made aware of the exact facts alleged against Farba Ngom, which, according to her, prevented her from effectively defending him on the merits.
-As a reminder, the procedure aimed at lifting Farba Ngom’s parliamentary immunity was initiated at the request of the Minister of Justice, contacted by the financial prosecutor.
