A heavy goods vehicle accident blocks traffic on the Nationale 137, the 2×2 lane between Nantes and Rennes, more precisely between Saffré and Treillières. According to our colleagues from Ici Océan (formerly France Bleu), diesel spread over 20 kilometers, which caused several other accidents. In all, seven people were injured, one seriously.

As a precaution, the road has been cut at the Treillières interchange, a diversion has been put in place to reach the Nantes ring road.

Due to the slippery road caused by diesel, several other accidents occurred. In particular a pile-up between two heavy goods vehicles (a flatbed truck and a parcel transport truck) and seven cars, near .

In all, seven people were injured. Six of them, aged between 35 and 60, suffered minor injuries, firefighters told “ici Loire Océan”. The last victim, a seriously injured 63-year-old man, was transported in absolute emergency to the Nantes University Hospital.

Traffic is diverted from Heric in the direction of Rennes-Nantes. In the other direction, traffic was reduced to one lane. According to Bison Futé, traffic is likely to remain disrupted on the axis at least until the beginning of the afternoon.
