The only ones missing were Emmanuel Meafou who, the victim of a shoulder contusion, was content to carry out running exercises (he was replaced by Romain Taofifenua), and Louis Bielle-Biarrey who is only expected in very early evening at the Blues residence. Bothered by an inner ear problem on Sunday, the international winger underwent examinations which revealed nothing on Monday and Tuesday. He is applying for the first match against the Welsh next Friday January 31 in Paris.

The lessons from this session are numerous. On the front line, Jean-Baptiste Gros is expected to start despite the return of Cyril Baille. On the third row, after being left out of the group for the last match of the November tour, Grégory Alldritt should make his return at number 8, surrounded by François Cros and Paul Boudehent.
At the hinge, Romain Ntamack, absent for almost 18 months following his serious knee injury contracted in preparation for the 2023 World Cup, should regain his place in number 10 alongside Antoine Dupont. A choice which will allow Thomas Ramos, excellent at the opening in November, to regain his preferred place in number 15.
Jalibert alert to Bordeaux
Since the staff will only keep 23 players this weekend, Matthieu Jalibert should take over the management of Bordeaux this Wednesday evening. He will be accompanied by Maxime Lamothe, Maxime Lucu, Marko Gazzotti and Nicolas Depoortere. All will be available to UBB for the Lyon reception, but should not start.
