The Armed Forces of the DRC (FARDC) announce, in a press release published this Tuesday, January 21 by the spokesperson for the FARDC, General Sylvain Ekenge, that the M23 and the Rwandan army “record enormous losses in men and in materials”.
The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo also announce that the fighting against the Rwandan aggressor continues on all fronts.
To the south of Lubero territory, the document indicates, the Rwandan army and its M23 auxiliaries are contained and pushed back.
The press release, however, recognizes that the rebellion has made a breakthrough in Bweremana in North Kivu and Minova in South Kivu.
-“The FARDC calls on the population to calm down and asks them not to give in to panic and disinformation massively relayed by the enemy on social networks. All measures are being implemented to block the path of the aggressor and bring peace to the eastern part of our country”concludes the press release.
