Loire and Haute-Loire. From 51 to 75 municipalities, the Pilat park should expand its perimeter in 2026

All the municipalities which are part of the natural geographical perimeter of Pilat have been invited to enter the Regional Natural Park (PNR), on the occasion of the signing of a new charter.

This was not the case until now, because several municipalities, located in particular in Ardèche or Haute-Loire, were not part of the PNR, even though they geographically belonged to the Pilat massif.

A charter renewed every 15 years

A point that the next charter, which concerns the period 2026-2041, intended to modify. To justify the arrival of these new cities, the park evokes this natural “geomorphological continuity”.
