An inmate was found lifeless on Saturday morning in a cell at the Berthoud regional prison (BE). Despite the first aid provided, this 27-year-old Bosnian national from the canton of Bern could not be saved.
According to the Berne Cantonal Police, the intervention of a third person is excluded. The Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Bern has clarified the cause of death.
