It was announced during the morning, it is now official. Rafael Fernandes was loaned by LOSC to Rangers FC in Scotland.
Like Akim Zedadka, who left for Poland a few days earlier, Rafael Fernandes had been playing on the sidelines of the group since the start of the season. It is therefore very logical that a base was sought for this winter. The latter was found in Scotland. The Portuguese's loan to Rangers FC was made official this Saturday. This is a six-month loan with an option to purchase.
The first words of Rafael Fernandes
across the Channel: “I'm very happy to be here, it was a club I wanted to come to ever since I heard about the interest, and I'm really happy to finally be here. My first impressions were very good, I met some of my colleagues, some of the staff and everyone made me feel comfortable to start this new challenge”welcomed the Portuguese in words relayed by the Rangers through a press release.
Rafael Fernandes, aged 22, has not played a single match since his arrival in the North in January 2024 (€2.5 million from Arouca). In one year, he made do with seven appearances in the professional squad (without ever setting foot on the field once) and five starts with the Lille reserve. He was the last survivor of the winter transfer window for the 2023-2024 season.
