It’s a year to mark a milestone for Ponot tourism. Up since 2020, the year 2024 beats all the scores with 109,615 nights booked via platforms such as Airbnb, Abritel or Booking.
The 100,000 mark has therefore been crossed since in 2023, there were 97,430 nights booked.
For the vice-president of the urban community and president of the tourist office, Corinne Gonçalves, “tourism has taken a growing part in the region's economy. These figures demonstrate this rise in power which benefits the entire city.”
15% more turnover in 2024
In total, €8,427,986 in turnover was generated, or 15% more than in 2023. The months of July and August are the most dynamic, but May and June hold their own in terms of the number of reservations… Surely a Saint-Jacques and Stevenson effect.
-The Airbnb platform occupies first place by offering 1,316 advertisements visible in the Puy-en-Velay agglomeration, or 62% of the advertisements visible in 2024. In total, 2,126 advertisements were visible in 2024 in Puy-en -Velay.
