National Assembly-Strengthening diplomatic and parliamentary relations: President El Malick Ndiaye grants audiences to the ambassadors of the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Cape Verde

XALIMANEWS-The President of the National Assembly, Mr. El Malick Ndiaye, granted parallel audiences to several ambassadors accredited to Senegal: Mr. Saeed Hamdan Alnaqbi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates; Mr. Dato Zainal Izran Zahari, Ambassador of Malaysia; and Mr. Herminio Emanuel Da Costa Moniz, Ambassador of Cape Verde.

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Alnaqbi, conveyed to President Ndiaye the congratulations of his Emirati counterpart. He also expressed the wish to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and to formalize the creation of a parliamentary friendship group, in order to promote exchanges and collaborations in various fields.

In response, the President of the National Assembly highlighted the solidity of relations between the United Arab Emirates and Senegal, emphasizing the common values ​​of peace and solidarity. He welcomed the many initiatives of the Emirates in favor of the development of Senegal and expressed his desire to deepen institutional links through reinforced parliamentary cooperation.

During the audience with the Ambassador of Malaysia, Mr. Dato Zainal Izran Zahari, discussions focused on the cordial and fraternal relations that unite the two countries. Mr Zahari highlighted the cultural and economic similarities between Malaysia and Senegal, highlighting opportunities to share expertise in key sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure and technology.

President Ndiaye praised the Malaysian economic model, which he considers a source of inspiration for Senegal. He proposed the development of joint projects within the framework of South-South cooperation, identifying parliamentary cooperation as a strategic lever to strengthen bilateral relations and support development initiatives.

Finally, during his meeting with the Ambassador of Cape Verde, Mr. Herminio Emanuel Da Costa Moniz, the latter expressed his commitment to working actively with the Senegalese National Assembly, emphasizing the importance of strengthen parliamentary exchanges. He also insisted on the need to consolidate bilateral relations to support common projects.

President Ndiaye, while welcoming the democratic vitality of Cape Verde, reiterated his desire to boost parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, with a view to rapprochement and mutual development.
