Maine-et-: retirees, supporters and the Active gathered by Sainte-Geneviève.

The tradition of Sainte-Geneviève was respected by the Gendarmes of the departmental gendarmerie company this Thursday, January 9 in the town of Behuard.

The retirees, sympathizers of our departmental Union accompanied the comrades of the Active, to the Notre Dame church for the ceremony celebrated by Father Bertrand Chevalier, rector of the sanctuary, led by the commander of the company of the departmental gendarmerie of Angers, squadron leader Bruno Besnier.

Several retired members of the Departmental Union had the honor of taking charge of the first reading and the universal prayers under the blessing of the lay Catholic military chaplain, Padre Alexis Barcelo.

The flag bearers were present including the colors of the Unprg.

Under the presidency of Colonel Virginie Giudici, commanding the departmental gendarmerie group of Maine-et-, surrounded by elected officials, parliamentarians as well as administrative, judicial and military authorities, speeches then took place in the diocesan house.

The lunch based on solidarity and friendship, strengthening the intergenerational bond, closed this morning rich in exchanges.
