As part of the preparations for the Appeal of Seydina Limamou Laye (PSL), scheduled for January 30 and 31, 2025, the commission responsible for communication was received by Lamine Niang, Director General of the SSPP Le Soleil, this Wednesday, January 15 2025.

The delegation, led by Adama Sow, expressed its gratitude to this emblematic newspaper, described as a true heritage of the national press.
Adama Sow underlined the importance of the contributions of the newspaper Le Soleil in disseminating the values ​​supported by the Appeal and presented several avenues that could inspire articles, particularly around scientific productions. “Living together, so advocated by the President of the Republic, is at the very heart of our way of operating,” declared the president of the communications committee. He also drew a parallel between the teachings of the holy master Seydina Limamou Laye and the principles of solidarity and social cohesion promoted by the current authorities.

A special notebook for the Appeal

At the end of fruitful discussions, the CEO of Le Soleil, Lamine Niang, announced the publication of a special 8-page notebook which will be inserted in the newspaper and distributed free of charge to the faithful on the day of the event. “The digital teams will also be mobilized to ensure broad coverage of the Call,” he added. Mr. Niang reaffirmed Le Soleil’s commitment to its public service mission. The CEO also promised to highlight the specificities of each community to reflect the richness of Senegalese cultural heritage.
Recognition and historical heritage
On behalf of the Caliph General of Layènes, the delegation expressed its thanks to the CEO and the entire Le Soleil team for their notable innovations, both in the digital domain and in the paper format. Babacar Sow, member of the delegation, recalled that Le Soleil was among the first newspapers to publish articles on Seydina Limamou Laye, thus underlining the long tradition of support of this media towards the Layène community.
Dahira Layène du Soleil also participated in this meeting, testifying to her commitment to the preparation and success of this major spiritual event. Ms. Maty Thiome praised the fervor of general management in supporting all the brotherhoods present within the company.
Finally, Ms. Aminata Seye, responsible for sponsorship and partnerships within the commission, insisted on the importance of collaboration between Le Soleil and this religious event, in order to guarantee optimal coverage of the Appeal.
The meeting also recorded the participation of Bernard Niang, sales director, and Alioune Badara Ndiaye, sales agent.
