The local prison of Tangier is the most affected, with 25 cases recorded, including 24 detainees placed in isolation and one transferred to the public hospital for treatment. The local prison of Ain Borja recorded, for its part, six cases, including five in isolation and one hospitalized. Other establishments, such as local prisons of Mohammedia and El Arjat 1reported five and three cases respectively. Furthermore, isolated cases have been recorded in Kenitra prisons, Fez (Bourkayz), Benslimane, Souk El Arbaâas well as in the establishments of Bouarfa, Kelaat Sraghna, Tetouan, Berkane et So-So.

The same source also recalled that 7 cases were recorded among the staff of the penitentiary establishmentsincluding a doctor, noting that they were subject to the health protocol in force.

To stem the spread of measlesthe DGAPRin partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Protectionhad launched a vaccination campaign in penitentiary establishments. To date, 11,620 detainees et 332 prison staff were vaccinated under the supervision of the teams of regional health delegations.

The DGAPR claims to maintain a vigilance constant to limit the spread of the epidemic. THE penitentiary establishments continue to implement the guidelines detailed in a dedicated circular and work closely with the relevant health authorities.
