The Poussannais Claude Aubrespy is passionate about topiary art, Zen gardens and minerals. Aged 72, he is quietly enjoying his retirement. A landscape gardener when he was active, around twenty years ago he planted a lemon tree in his garden. This tree today makes him proud.
Although he admits that it is not necessarily an incredible year in terms of quantity, his tree produced fruits of exceptional size. “This is the first time that some lemons are this big,” confides Claude. And when asked the question of the reason for this success, he specifies: “It must be said that this tree is well looked after all year round.”
These fruits that he will soon pick, he will of course share them with those around him, make good lemon meringue tarts as well as jam.
