Saturday January 11, 2025, in the evening, shots from automatic weapons occurred on the Kennedy slab in the Villejean district of Rennes.
An investigation was opened, entrusted by the Rennes public prosecutor's office in co-referral to the DCOS (Organized and Specialized Crime Division) and the DCT (Territorial Crime Division) of Rennes.
According to the latest information provided by Frédéric Teillet, public prosecutor of Rennes, 24 x 9mm sockets were found.
Two victims
These shots caused two collateral victims:
- and man, Scottish, around fifty years old, injured in the chest and leg. The latter was hospitalized but his vital prognosis is not in jeopardy;
- another man, of Tibetan nationality, whose pants were pierced by a bullet without hitting the leg.
Neither appears to be linked to drug trafficking.
No arrests
Moreover, impacts were also observed “high on the town hall annex building and on the tobacco bar”, underlines the public prosecutor.
For now, no arrest has not been carried out.
