This Tuesday there was a presentation of the progress of the work at the fortress of Châtel-sur-Moselle. Local representatives provided an update on the progress of the construction sites.
The fortress of Châtel-sur-Moselle continues to transform thanks to the deconstruction and renovation work which is redesigning this jewel of Lorraine heritage. During a key visit organized on site, Marc Barbaux, elected for works and public procurement, and Yannick Villemin, elected for attractiveness and tourism, took stock of the evolution of the projects in progress.
An ambitious objective for tourist attractiveness
With a clear vision: to attract 30,000 visitors per year within a few years, compared to 10,000 today, this work aims to make the site even more accessible and better highlight its exceptional historical heritage.
The dismantling of the former Residence of the Capuchins: a key step
The Résidence des Capuchins, located in the heart of the main enclosure, is currently undergoing meticulous deconstruction. The rubble clearance and treatment work is underway, with a strong ecological commitment: more than 97% of the materials will be recycled.
