The Moroccan group Premium Group and the Chinese manufacturer Shacman have launched production of the first truck entirely assembled in Morocco, called “X6000”, according to information obtained by Barlamane.com, Tuesday January 14. This model, whose localization rate reaches 40%, is distinguished by a maximum speed of 120 km/h and a range of 800 km on a single charge.
The collaboration between Shacman, a brand of the China-based Shaanxi Automobile Holding Group, and Premium Group has established a production unit in Casablanca, where the first batch of X6000 trucks has already been assembled. The 40% localization rate demonstrates the integration of local components into the manufacturing process, which supports the Moroccan automotive industry.
The “X6000” truck meets the growing need for heavy commercial vehicles in Morocco and the region, while creating local jobs in the assembly sector, estimated at several hundred. This investment highlights Morocco’s position as a key industrial hub in North Africa while showcasing the growing skills and capabilities of the country’s manufacturing industry.
The Shacman This model is already available in Asia and is considered one of the most powerful trucks in the world, our colleagues at Parliament Today.
