Maine-et-Loire. 27 police officers and firefighters decorated for their action during urban violence

27 agents from Maine-et-Loire were decorated for their mobilization in the management of urban violence“highlighting their unfailing dedication» during the ceremony of greetings to the department's security forces.

The prefect wanted to pay tribute “to the exemplary commitment and courage of the national police officers, departmental gendarmes, firefighterswhether professionals or reservists, Army soldiers, customs officers, municipal police officers, reservists, civil protection volunteers as well as prison administration personnel.

Nine firefighters and 18 police officers

The Internal Security Medal – “Urban Violence” clasp, was awarded to:

– 9 firefighters
– 8 municipal police officers
– 10 national police officers.

“A huge thank you to these men and women who, in the shadows as well as in the light, watch over the security and well-being of our fellow citizens, day after day, night after night,” declared the prefect of Maine-et-Loire, Philippe Chopin.
