A group of engineers, administrative executives, university professors, doctors and decentralization experts, all from Tivaouane, united to drive the development of their hometown.
Created in September 2022, this group aims to bring together all executives from Tivaouane in order to discuss the future of the city. The Advisory Council that they formed has become a veritable laboratory of ideas, with the ambition of putting the religious city on the path to development.
Their projects are not limited to the short term, but are part of a long-term vision. As coordinator Malick Sarr pointed out, this is a comprehensive plan which will cover all aspects of the city, in particular economic and social issues.
This ambitious project, already supported by the construction of a new mosque, requires significant resources, but the mayor of Tivaouane believes that these objectives are achievable. “The industrial zone project, for example, exceeds 22 billion FCFA and could generate much more, up to a hundred billion. »
