“Living together” will offer 60,000 francs to new projects promoting soft mobility, repairing objects or fighting against waste. The program was set up at the request of the Grand Council as part of the Neuchâtel Climate Plan. His goal? Support eco-responsible actions that strengthen local ties, consolidate mutual aid networks and promote collaboration, a press release from the Canton recalled this Thursday.

Among the initiatives selected, the shared garden of Clos-Brochet wishes to create a solidarity and intergenerational vegetable garden in part of the garden of the Pourtalès hospital. A workshop will offer the population of La Chaux-de-Fonds a place to repair bicycles, scooters and skateboards. One of the projects also intends to continue the participatory and cooperative grocery store in Cernier, which has 80 volunteer households.

An initial envelope of 42,000 francs was distributed to nine projects in June 2024. In total, 20 actions proposed by associations, municipalities or cooperatives will benefit from the program. Until 2027, a total amount of 400,000 francs will be allocated to projects aimed at mitigating the social consequences arising from the effects of climate change.

Details of all the selected projects can be found below. /comm-mlm
