1/2 for Senegal which has just won the first friendly match against the United Arab Emirates. The Lions won (4-2). Despite the victory, Ngalla Sylla believes that there are still things to rectify.
In Dubai to face the UAE in a friendly, Senegal won the first match this Wednesday evening (4-2). Mandione Diagne, Ninou Diatta, Mamadou Sylla and Rane Gadiaga are the scorers.
“We give thanks to God. It wasn’t easy, we didn’t have a good start to the match, we have to admit. Even if we didn’t win (4-2), we must recognize that the work is far from perfect. At the highest level, certain things cannot be forgiven. Today, we conceded two goals from set pieces. The first on a corner and the second on a throw-in. Tomorrow we will try to rectify in a match that we already know is close. But the project is to continue to progress to have a competitive team next May and this is the time to thank the FSF because these matches serve that purpose,” said coach Ngalla Sylla.
The two teams will meet this Thursday at 2 p.m. for the second and final friendly meeting. As a reminder, the United Arab Emirates invited Senegal to prepare for their friendly match in the World Cup.
