His adventure will certainly be very expensive for a 17-year-old, without a license, and the author of an accident during the night from Wednesday to Thursday in Bienne, on rue de Mâche.

The young man, who was driving a van that was most likely stolen, was driving towards the city center. At number 67, he hit a car correctly parked on the side of the road and pushed it about twenty meters. This vehicle then hit a second parked car. The van ended up in the opposite lane and ended up on the sidewalk, near the “Chemin Bloesch” bus stop.

No one was injured, according to the Bernese cantonal police. When the officers arrived, the minor tried to flee, but he was able to be arrested by a police officer. He was then taken to the station where he was tested for alcohol and drugs. Tests that came back positive. The defendant will have to answer for his actions before the courts, in particular for driving without a license. Other investigations are underway, police point out.

Note that the section of road concerned had to be closed to traffic for several hours. The vehicles hit suffered total damage.
