Rolex stolen from actor Keanu Reeves in Los Angeles found in another country

INTERNATIONAL – It was a year ago. In December 2023, Keanu Reeves was the victim of a burglary at his home in Los Angeles. The actor, known for his iconic role in the saga « John Wick » but also for having played in the films “ Matrix »had several luxury watches and jewelry stolen. Among the stolen objects, a Rolex Submariner, unique since it was engraved with a personalized message:« 2021, JW4, Merci, The John Wick Five »

This watch, worth an estimated $9,000, had a special meaning: Keanu Reeves had given this model to the stuntmen with whom he had worked on John Wick: Chapter 4as a thank you after filming. The precious jewel was finally found, but far from the United States.

It was in Chile, in the east of Santiago, that the watch was located during a police operation this Saturday, December 28. During the searches, carried out in four houses in connection with a series of local thefts, Chilean authorities also seized other valuable jewelry and watches. In total, three watches found belong to Keanu Reeves, according to local police cited by CNN Chili.

A 21-year-old man was arrested during the operation on suspicion of being involved in a series of local thefts. Chilean authorities worked closely with their American counterparts to link the items to the burglary of the actor's home in late 2023.

The December 2023 theft was not a first for Keanu Reeves, whose home has been targeted by burglars in the past. In 2014, two break-ins took place in the space of three days, adding to a list of off-screen misadventures for the beloved actor.

This affair ironically recalls the plot of the saga John Wickwhere the hero, also the victim of a burglary, sets out on a quest for revenge. Although reality has not taken such a dramatic turn, the clock has returned to its place, and justice takes its course.
