Paris Fashion Week. Paris, the world fashion capital, is preparing to host an exceptional program for Fashion Weeks in 2025. Between innovation and tradition, these events mark the perpetual evolution of the fashion industry.
A busy schedule from January 2025
The Men’s Fashion Week fall-winter 2025-2026 will kick off the year on Tuesday January 21, 2025 to close on Sunday January 26. This first week will be closely followed by the haute couture weekwhere certified designers and guests will unveil their spring-summer 2025 collections. This second meeting will be held from Monday January 27 to Thursday January 30. An anticipated moment, particularly for Alessandro Michele’s inaugural show at Valentino Haute Couture, an event which promises to mark this season.
The women’s ready-to-wear fall-winter 2025-2026 will then be at the heart of the attention of the Monday March 3 to Tuesday March 11. This series of fashion shows precedes a spring break before men’s fashion returns with its spring-summer 2026 collections, from Tuesday June 24 to Sunday June 29, 2025. Finally, the prowess of the haute couture fall-winter 2025-2026 will be revealed from Monday July 7 to Thursday July 10.
The season will conclude with the spring-summer 2026 women’s collectionswhich will be held from Monday September 29 to Tuesday October 7, 2025. A configuration that reflects the traditional organization of Fashion Weeks while adapting to the new expectations of the industry.
Tradition et innovation
Historically, fashion shows were exclusively dedicated to haute couture. The creators presented their new products in the living rooms of their homes, an intimate and exclusive setting. While some brands continue this tradition, the locations chosen today often reflect a specific artistic direction, transforming each event into a unique experience.
Paris is the ideal backdrop for these fashion shows. The capital offers emblematic places, such as the Pont Neuf, which hosted Pharrell Williams’ first fashion show for Louis Vuitton. Saint Laurent remains faithful to the elegance of the Trocadéro with the Eiffel Tower in the background, while Dior regularly sets up ephemeral spaces in the Tuileries gardens. These exceptional frames underline the grandeur of Paris as a fashion capital.
A well-established structure
Fashion Weeks follow a precise rhythm, with an organization that allows brands to present their collections approximately six months before they go on sale. This allows time for production and distribution. In January, men’s fashion gets the ball rolling with its fall-winter collections, while June is dedicated to spring-summer. These key meetings are interspersed with women’s fashion shows and haute couture collections.
Haute couture, for its part, remains an exception. Each piece is made to order and escapes the constraints of mass production. These exceptional creations are revealed in January for the following spring-summer and in July for fall-winter.
An international perspective
If Paris remains at the top, Fashion Weeks are part of a global calendar. They follow a well-established order: New York, London, Milan, and finally Paris. The latter is orchestrated by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, guaranteeing the coherence and excellence of Parisian events.
Each city highlights its particularities. Paris, with its unique cultural and architectural heritage, offers an experience that few other capitals can match. Cruise or pre-fall shows, often organized outside of traditional Fashion Weeks, also allow fashion houses to travel and explore new horizons, thus strengthening their international reach.
What to expect in 2025
Among the highlights of the coming year, the return of Valentino under the direction of Alessandro Michele promises to be spectacular. This change at the head of the Italian house marks a renewal awaited by critics and fashion lovers. Furthermore, houses like Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Chanel will continue to dazzle the public with grandiose displays.
In June, the Spring-Summer 2026 Men’s Fashion Week will allow you to discover the trends that will mark the following season, while Haute Couture in July will unveil extraordinary creations. These unique collections are a reminder of why Paris is the cradle of fashion excellence.
