During the filming of a rap clip in Meaux (Seine-et-Marne) this Sunday, law enforcement officers were targeted by fireworks mortars, before responding with dispersion grenades. Two police officers were injured.
A clandestine filming almost caused panic. Shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday December 22, in the Beauval district of Meaux (Seine-et-Marne), an unauthorized music video filming degenerated when the police arrived on site. It was the incessant rodeos of a motocross bike that alerted them.
Fireworks mortars as well as other projectiles were fired in the direction of the police, who responded using dispersal grenades, a police source told CNEWS.
In total, around fifty individuals were present at the filming site.
The situation finally controlled at midnight
The police first returned to the police station. Faced with the aggressiveness of the offenders, who began to set up barricades and burn trash cans, they came out and were targeted again.
Two of them were slightly injured during the events. They suffered bruises and burns but the injuries did not require the cessation of their service.
Still according to a police source, calm was restored around midnight. The police have not made any arrests at this stage.
