“The work on the future heart of life in Lucé is progressing well” rejoices in a press release from the City of Lucé (Eure-et-Loir) near Chartres, this Friday December 20, 2024.
Since Wednesday December 18, motorists can once again cross the Place du 19-Marseven if work will still be in progress until March 2025 (excluding construction of the hall).
The outcome is approaching for the end of the work on this nerve center
The state of progress “is close to completion, however,” adds the City, which details the various projects still to be carried out to finalize the metamorphosis of this Place du 19-Mars and this heart of the city “and life”:
- Start of work on the hall next January, for reception at the end of June 2025.
- Finish creating stabilized paths.
- Laying the slabs around the hall.
- Finish the swept concrete on the path of Rue Jules Ferry and in front of the market.
- Install public toilets.
- Move the War Memorial as well as the other commemorative steles.
- Create the stabilized paths of the garden of patriotic remembrance.
- Lay the slabs of the church square.
- Finish the presbytery parking lot.
- Install all lighting-related equipment.
- Install all street furniture.
- Install vertical signage.
At the end of this major project, work on rue René-Langlois and rue Albert-Brossard will be able to begin, either at second quarter 2025.
