The TGB won at the end of the suspense against a valiant team from Chartres supported by a wild public who believed until the end in the second victory of the season after Charleville-Mézières (80-72). Chartres, thanks to an aggressive defense and a lively attack with 52% success and 10/18 at 3 points (55%), was always in the match. The Chartraines even led 17-15 (8th), 46-42 (21th), 70-69 (36th) et 75-73 (38th) and they could have won over the siren, if they had better negotiated their last ball on interception. The Tarbaises also relied on an outstanding skill (60%) with 8/14 at 3 points (57%). Musa Murjanatu (21 points, 8 rebounds), Ajsa Sivka (15 points, 5/7 from 3 points), Jesse-Mine Zodia (10 points, 5 rebounds) carried the TGB with Endy Miyem (16 points) who broke his record points since his return from injury. A TGB which could have paid dearly for its clumsiness with free throws with twelve points left en route (15/27) against 5 points in Chartres (13/18). Still recovering, Camille Droguet was a shadow of herself on free throws 3/12 and shooting 0/5 but she played an important role in the game and it was she who offered the victory with her last two successful free throws in a hostile room. Quite a character after four failures two minutes before. Chartres came very close to its second victory with four doubles, including a fiery Marine Debaut (22 points, 5/6 at 3 points), well supported by Nicole Enabosi (15 points), Frida Eldebrink (15 points, 3/5 3 points) and Stella Colas (10 points). The Promoted, despite his last place, plays in front of a large audience and the wheel of luck should turn in 2025. This is the fifth defeat by less than 3 points after those against Charleville-Mézières (70-73), Roche -Vendée (72-74), Montpellier (67-68) and Landerneau (76-73).
First quarter : The Tarbaises scored from the start with Fora and Sivka at 3 points 2-5 (2th) but the Promotes equalized by the ex-Tarbaise Frida Eldebrink from afar and Enabosi on throws (7-7 (3th). Both teams went basket for basket 12-12 (5th) with two 3-point shots from Debaut and Sivka. The TGB regained the score on throws before losing it 17-15 (8th) on a new long shot from Debaut. Finally Musa widened the gap below the circle 17-20 (10th).
Second quarter : Chartres picked up from the start but Strunc and Sivka slammed two consecutive long shots 19-26 (11th). Eldebrink responded immediately and the Promote remained in contact 24-26 (12th). Musa and Zodia increased the score 27-34 (14th) but Chartres came back again 32-34 (16th). Miyem made two baskets including a 3-pointer 34-39 (17th) but Colas with a double pulled back 38-39 (18th). Sivka struck, at 3 points 38-42 but Debaut responded and intercepted to go in front 44-42 (20th).
Third quarter : Chartres took advantage of another loss of ball to widen the gap 46-42 but Fora, at 3 points, reduced the gap 46-45 (22th). Musa and Miyem regained control 47-49 (24th) immediately taken over by Eldebrink at 3 points 50-49 (26th). Sivka, at 3 points, revived the Tarbaises 52-55 (27th). Former Tarbaise Elise Marié equalized in a crazy Colisée. Miyem took the score again but Droguet missed four consecutive shots 55-57 (29th). Colas equalized but the last word remained with Miyem on a bonus basket 55-60 (30th).
Fourth quarter : Colas reduced the score from the start but Miyem added two baskets 59-64 (32th). Legrand and Debaut, pulled together 63-64 (34th). Tarbes kept the score without being able to increase it 67-69 (35th). Debaut, at 3 points, went back in front 70-69 (36th) and Fora suffered his fifth foul and Droguet took the lead. Despite two new failures from Droguet's throws, a double from Musa put Tarbes back in front 70-73 but Eldebrink immediately equalized at 3 points 73-73 (38th). In a furious room Droguet missed his two shots and Mahoutou brought the Coliseum to its feet 75-73 (39th). Musa added two baskets 75-77 at the start of the last minute. Married equalized with free throws (0'40), Musa scored 77-79 (0'30) and this time Droguet scored his two throws 77-81 (0'18). Enabosi reduced the gap on an offensive rebound after a 3-point shot from Marié 79-81 (0'12). The match was finally decided on a roll of the dice, with an interception by Enabosi (0'10) followed by an interception by Musa…
