Missing for two months now: the Longueuil police are worried about this octogenarian

An octogenarian from Longueuil, missing since October 22, continues to worry the authorities, even though he still has not given any sign of life almost two months after taking the wheel towards Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville.

“We have reason to fear for his safety,” the Longueuil urban police service (SPAL) reiterated in a press release on Thursday.

Kamal Ayoub, 86, was last seen on October 22 in Longueuil, after stopping at the Groupe Laberge towing company, near the industrial district, aboard a black 2005 Honda accord registered E68 LLH , to ask for directions.

Because the day before, the octogenarian had had an accident at the Longueuil Public Market and had forgotten personal effects in his vehicle towed by the Laberge Group in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, to which he was trying to go at the time of his disappearance.

During the accident, the police noted that the man seemed very confused, even mentioning that he did not remember being involved in an event of this kind, his daughter Élise Ayoub reported last month.

“A car doesn’t disappear. He’s somewhere, that’s for sure. If he had gone off the road on Tuesday October 22 when he left the Laberge in broad daylight, it would have been seen, so it’s a really special story,” she insisted, worried.

On the surveillance cameras of the Laberge Group in Longueuil, the police noted that Mr. Ayoub looked very confused on October 22; retracing his steps and not really seeming to know which direction to take.

“The police would have seen the cameras in this neighborhood to see him making two trips back and forth on Jean-Neveu Boulevard, in Longueuil. Subsequently, he did not go to Saint-Bruno, so we do not know which direction he took,” continued his daughter, imploring the population to keep their eyes open.

Kamal Ayoub, who speaks French, has white skin, is 5 feet 9 inches (175 cm) tall and weighs 75 kg (165 lb), SPAL recalled Thursday.
