Guillaume Bosom and Arnaud Labbé at the Pôle Espoir League in

The Pôle Espoir XIII in recently had the privilege of welcoming two experts in the field of performance: Guillaume Bosom, mental trainer, and Arnaud Labbé, cognitive expert. Their intervention is part of an innovative approach aimed at improving the management of information and the analysis of situations during the players’ tactical, technical and physical phases.

The two speakers presented the MINDTRAIN method which includes several tools and techniques to help athletes develop their ability to quickly process information in complex playing contexts. Through practical exercises and realistic simulations, players were able to experiment with approaches to better manage pressure, make decisions more quickly and improve their concentration during intense gaming phases.

After just a few sessions, the athletes expressed positive feelings. They saw significant progress in their ability to analyze situations more clearly and accurately, as well as greater mastery of complex tasks that they previously struggled to complete. These initial results show the effectiveness of the intervention, thus reinforcing the conviction that mental and cognitive preparation is a powerful lever for improving performance.

The Carcassonne Rugby League Espoir Center would like to warmly thank Guillaume Bosom and Arnaud Labbé for their expertise and commitment. Their valuable contribution allows young athletes to become aware of the importance of the mental and cognitive dimension in sporting performance and to acquire tools which will undoubtedly be decisive for their future.

Integrating these skills into player training promises to take rugby league to new heights.
