A visionary in the service of music
Isolde Lagacé dedicated his life to making classical music accessible to as many people as possible, while defending artistic excellence. Since her appointment in 2007 as head of the Arte Musica Foundation, she has undertaken to transform an ambitious project into a vibrant reality: the creation of the Salle Bourgie. In collaboration with the patron Pierre Bourgieshe overcame many challenges to make this venue an essential place on the Quebec and Canadian music scene.
Under his direction, Bourgie Hall has established itself as an internationally recognized space, thanks to a bold and diverse program, ranging from traditional classical concerts to innovative initiatives. Lagacé has also cultivated lasting partnerships with cultural institutions, while offering a platform of choice to Quebec and Canadian artists.
A destiny devoted to music
Graduate of the University of Montreal and HEC Montreal, Isolde Lagacé has left his mark on the musical world thanks to his managerial skills and his passion for teaching. Before directing Bourgie Hall, she held influential positions, including director of the Montreal Conservatory of Music and head of concerts at McGill University.
His commitment to musical education has resulted in prolonged involvement in renowned institutions such as the Académie du Domaine Forget and the CAMMAC Music Center. In addition, she played an active role in decision-making bodies in the music industry, sitting on various committees and artistic juries.
