“Mady” is the Intergenerational and Interprofessional Sustainable Food House of the Mady & Co association. The organization supports local projects by producers and neighborhood stakeholders to collectively think about a better way of eating . The objective of the neighborhood Madys is to respond to current issues: food insecurity, taste education, balanced diet, training, entrepreneurship and sharing of services.
Almost a festive meal
The Mady de Kervenanec, in partnership with the City and the Maison pour tous, is the living result of this work with, as a priority, the fight against food insecurity. Tools such as a shared garden, distribution spaces or a shared professional kitchen can be used.
Tuesday December 17, 2024 took place the monthly meeting of Mady & Co, in front of the Netto de Kervenanec, in Lorient.
Passers-by, attracted by the good smell of the quiches cooking in the oven, stopped to look and ask questions.
“That’s the goal,” explain Mathilde, event project manager at Mady & co, and Gaëlle, communications manager for the association. People stop, chat and can cook with us. Then, at the end of the workshop, we invite them to a collective tasting of the dishes made and they leave with the recipes and information on the ingredients. It is a moment of sharing and conviviality. »
The menu, concocted by Annie and Najet, was almost like a festive meal: butternut/chestnut soup, beetroot/goat cheese verrine, chocolate coconut truffles… Isabelle, mediator, was also present, carrying the Maison pour tous project: Christmas together.
