Alpha Kaba (2.08 m, 28 years old), after a short stint with Maccabi Tel-Aviv, returns to service by signing with the Sono Skygunners in South Korea. The Franco-Guinean is back on the Asian circuit for a four-month contract, during which he is expected to receive a salary of around $240,000.

The Blésois was little used in the EuroLeague, where he only played four games, averaging just two minutes per game. The former Élan Béarnais, ASVEL, Boulazac and player was also left on the sidelines in the Israeli Winner League, not participating in any matches. Before joining the Israeli club, Kaba was coming off a solid season in China with the Zhejiang Lions where he posted stats of 16.2 points, 13.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. He then finished the 2023-2024 season at Valencia in Liga ACB where he played 7 games for averages of 3.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 9 minutes of play.

His arrival at the Sono Skygunners is correlated with the departure of the American Alan Williams, following the team’s poor start to the season (10th out of 10, with 13 defeats in 19 matches).
