During the Miss France 2025 election, organized on December 14 at Futuroscope, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss Martinique, won the crown. If the 34-year-old woman won over the jury, it was Sabah Aib, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, who won the favor of viewers by ranking as favorite in the public votes. A situation which fueled debates on social networks, with some Internet users questioning the victory of Miss Martinique. In an interview given to our colleagues at Paris Matchthe first runner-up looks back on these last moments in the competition, more precisely on the moment when they stood hand in hand with Angélique Angarni-Filopon, while waiting for the final verdict: “We said to ourselves that it was still quite a long time. We said to ourselves that we were proud to have made it this far and we laughed a little to decompress. Hearing Miss Martinique’s name, I was very happy for her and surprisingly, I didn’t feel disappointed. I was already happy because I didn’t think I would get this far.”
Miss France 2025: Sabah Aib and the other candidates of the competition met after the election during a disco evening
After the announcement of the results, the candidates were finally able to release the pressure and enjoy one last evening together: “At the end of the election, we were able to relax with the other girls during the disco party. Many cried, we all released the pressure. It was the end of the adventure, after spending a month together.” Since then, the young woman has been able to resume the course of her life: “On Sunday, I was able to rest before returning home to the North (…) I have a small media tour, but I am returning to my everyday life with the race for Christmas presents.”
Miss France 2025: Sabah Aib supports Miss Martinique in the face of criticism”She deserves her title“
While Miss France 2025 is the subject of some derogatory comments on social networks, Sabah Aib did not hesitate to come to her defense. Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2024 believes that Angélique Angarni-Filopon’s victory is well deserved: “We must not incite hatred against Miss Martinique, she deserves her title. I’m very happy with my place, so I don’t understand why the public isn’t. It touches me to see her under fire and I’m disappointed to see that some of the people who support me are mean to her.” The adventure is not completely over for the first runner-up of Miss France 2025. Indeed, due to the age of Miss France 2025 making her unable to run for Miss World, Sabah Aib could soon represent France during this international competition: “If the Miss France company asks me, with Angélique’s agreement of course, I will gladly go“, she assures.
